The Henderson Cowboys have their first game in two weeks. Practices for these 9- and 10-year-olds are in full swing, and Gabe (in the white pants) is preoccupied with football about 12–15 hours a week! It should be a great season thanks to head coach Nick Baumert.

💖 Nominations Open for Compassionate City Awards
The Gist: Las Vegas and the Compassionate Las Vegas Network are accepting nominations for the 2026 Compassionate City Awards. The awards honor community members making a difference in areas like education, health, housing, restorative justice, and environmental sustainability. A new youth award celebrates young people showing empathy and service. Nominations are open through April 9, 2026, with winners announced at a public ceremony on June 11 at Las Vegas City Hall.
