🎇 Summerlin unveils its new Olympic-sized pool

This weekend our family will be hanging out at Cowabunga Bay for the 4th of July holiday. With two locations in Las Vegas, Cowabunga Bay has become a staple of summer activities for families with young kids. Have you been?

The Gist: Las Vegas officially opened the new Olympic-sized pool at the Pavilion Center Pool Complex in Summerlin. The $18.9 million expansion doubles the facility's swimming capacity and adds space for competitions, lessons, water polo, kayaking classes, and other community programs.

Why It Matters: If you've ever tried signing up for swim lessons or watched local meets fill up fast, this gives everyone a little more breathing room. Beyond competitive swimming, the city hopes the new pool will become a place where kids learn to swim, families cool off, and neighbors try something new together.
