It was a rare date night out on the strip for the Karina and myself šŸ™‚

We met up with some out of town friends for dinner and went to the Atomic Saloon Show at the Venetian. Spoiler alert, it wasn’t kid friendly and you might be offended if you’re Catholic.Ā

That being said, the show was generally awesome, the staff was great, and acrobatics were intense. If you’ve got friends in from out of town, I recommend the show. On to the newsletter!Ā

šŸ• Meet the new slice shop at The Bend

The Gist: Metro Pizza veterans John Arena and Sam Facchini have opened Sliceteria by Metro Pizza at The Bend. The new concept marks a fresh direction for the duo, who have helped shape Southern Nevada’s pizza scene for more than 40 years, following the closure of two longtime Metro locations.

Why It Matters: Sliceteria gives Arena and Facchini room to experiment beyond Metro Pizza’s traditional menu. Along with New York and Sicilian favorites, customers can try Roman, grandma and tavern-style pizzas by the slice or order full pies.

šŸœļø 6,000 homes coming to the Northwest Valley

The Gist: A massive new master-planned community in northwest Las Vegas is moving forward, bringing up to 6,000 homes to the growing valley over the next several years. The developer, The Olympia Companies, acquired the property through the city to build Monument Hills, which will feature residential housing across a variety of market segments.

Why It Matters: Growth on the northwest edge shapes everything from school zones to traffic to where the next grocery store lands. If you live in Centennial Hills or nearby, this is a project that redraws the map around you over the next several years.

ā˜€ļø Wood fires and a garden oasis

10100 W Charleston Blvd #150, Las Vegas

Vintner Grill serves contemporary Mediterranean with a touch of elegance: think oak and cherry wood-fired dishes, whipped butter with lemon gremolata, and braised lamb bolognese with truffled ricotta over black pepper tagliatelle.

You would never guess from the parking lot that one of Summerlin’s prettiest patios is back here. Their landscaped cabanas are made for crisp evenings, laughter, and full glasses.

🪓 Sips, succulents, plus seasonal greenery mix

2380 N Buffalo Dr #115, Las Vegas

Rooting For You, a plant nursery, pairs locally grown foliage with a lounge serving drinks and hosting creative gatherings. Newly expanded for bigger events, the space offers hands-on workshops like candle making, moss crafting, mahjong, and their signature Succ N’ Sip nights, alongside open mics.

With open doors on weekends, it is a lovely spot as summer turns to fall and repotting season begins.
