It was picture day at the kid’s school, which we happen to own (www.ApogeeHenderson.com), and as usual, Gabe was being a character!
This year the kids turn 8, 10, and my older son, who is doing his thing in New York, turns 23. Weird that I have a 23-year-old when I swear I’m only 30!
I know this is said so often that it sounds cliché, but time flies when you have kids. The day-to-day rush of school, sports, birthday parties, and extracurricular activities makes the days sometimes feel long, but the years just seem to rush by quicker than we realize.

🚓 Las Vegas Homicides Down So Far
The Gist: Las Vegas Metropolitan Police report seven homicides in their jurisdiction from Jan. 1 through Feb. 8, 2026. That is lower than the 13 reported during the same time frame in 2025. In recent days, detectives have investigated four additional deaths across the valley, and those cases remain under review.
Why It Matters: While recent investigations have drawn attention, overall numbers so far this year are slightly below last year’s pace. Neighbors say they are hopeful the trend continues and that anyone facing domestic violence reaches out for help.
