Karina and I were recently honored to become the godparents of a beautiful little girl, the daughter of one of my wife’s closest friends. It’s had us thinking more about faith, family, and the kind of spiritual foundation we want to build in our own home.
We both come from different religious backgrounds. Karina grew up Catholic, I grew up Presbyterian, and over the years we’ve each explored different faiths and spiritual paths. Lately, we’ve been feeling pulled to bring more religion and spirituality back into our family’s life.

🪖 PILOT Program Launches for Veterans
The Gist: A new program called PILOT has opened at the West Las Vegas Library to help veterans access housing support and essential services. The initiative offers free, in-person assistance with rent, deposits, utilities, and connections to food and transportation resources on select days each week.
Why It Matters: For many veterans, getting help isn’t about availability, it’s about access. Bringing services into a familiar, public space like a library makes support feel easier to reach and more human, especially for those trying to stay housed and stable.
