Do you gamble?
Five years ago, when our family decided to relocate to Las Vegas, the deal with my wife was simple: no blackjack. In my 20s, when I had a lot less impulse control (and a lot fewer responsibilities), I definitely helped keep MGM and the Wynn nicely profitable. 😅
These days, I’ll occasionally sit down for a few hours of poker. I’m an OK player, and when coaching clients come to town, we’ll grab a table at the Wynn or the Cosmo and play for a bit.
But I’m curious… as a local, do you gamble? Or do you mostly steer clear?

📞 Las Vegas Approves Unified 911 Dispatch Facility
The Gist: The Las Vegas City Council approved an interlocal agreement to operate a new Joint Communications Facility for a unified 911 dispatch center. The partnership includes the city, Clark County, the City of North Las Vegas and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. The facility will be built at West Deer Springs Way and North Shaumber Road.
Why It Matters: A shared dispatch center is expected to improve coordination across agencies and support faster, more reliable emergency response throughout the region. It’s encouraging to see agencies working together to strengthen emergency services for everyone.
