This week my son got to do something pretty cool. He filmed a short video with a local Instagram foodie, sat down in front of a lobster that was basically his size, and somehow stayed cooler than I would have.

It was one of those “how did we get here?” parent moments. A little awkward, a lot of fun, and something he’ll definitely remember.

Which got me thinking. We follow a handful of great local accounts, but I know we’re missing some gems.

Who should we be following on Instagram on the west side of Vegas? Drop your favorites and help us discover some new local voices.

In today’s issue:

🏡 Summerlin keeps growing
🪄 A little French magic
🐶 Where nervous pups feel safe
🐾 A little something for everyone

🍷 French Specials Worth Dressing Up For

2120 N Rampart Blvd #150, Summerlin, NV

OhLaLa French Bistro feels intimate and special the moment you step inside. Their French menu leans classic, think French onion soup, rich and velvety pastas, well-seasoned duck confit, and desserts worth saving room for.

Service here feels personal, not rushed, and prices are reasonable for high-quality food. It’s perfect for a relaxed date night, brunch with friends, or laidback evenings that always feel special without much effort.

🐕 Groomers Your Dog Babies Remember

8221 W Charleston Blvd Suite 108, Summerlin, NV

If you’ve ever stressed about leaving your dog at the groomer, Doggie Stylz Grooming eases that worry quick. Their stylists are known for being patient with anxious rescues, spicy little biters, and first-timers who need extra love.

Owners love their bubbly baths, careful trims, and even progress updates along the way. Dogs leave calmer, cleaner, and well cared for, feeling less like a drop off and more like leaving your dog with people who truly get them.

🏗️ What’s coming to Summerlin in 2026

The Gist: Summerlin is planning another busy year in 2026 with 11 new residential neighborhoods set to open. The community also expects more parks and open spaces, along with additional retail openings and new office tenants. While specific store names were not announced, the plans build on the momentum from late 2025.

Why It Matters: These additions mean more housing choices, green space, and nearby amenities for locals. Feels like Summerlin isn’t slowing down anytime soon, just growing in thoughtful ways.
