When we started the West VegasHQ newsletter last August, Karina and I thought we might have 5,000 subscribers by year’s end (and even that felt optimistic). Well, on December 31st, 2025, we ended the year with 11,356 subscribers. This year we are already approaching 15,000 subscribers.
We can’t be everywhere at all times. WE LOVE reader feedback and reader content. Just recently, we got a great tip from one of our readers to add an “emoji” to our subject line, so you can easily find our email in a cluttered inbox. 🥢 China Mama Coming to Summerlin
The Gist: China Mama will open a new Summerlin location at 2233 N. Rampart Blvd. sometime in 2026. The restaurant is known for contemporary Chinese fusion, with dishes like crispy beef, soup dumplings, and pan-fried pork buns.
Why It Matters: Summerlin diners will get easier access to a local favorite that has been serving bold, modern Chinese flavors in the Valley for more than 15 years. Residents in Summerlin are looking forward to enjoying China Mama’s signature dishes closer to home.
🍜 Marufuku Ramen Expands to Downtown Summerlin
The Gist: Marufuku Ramen is opening its second Valley location at 2010 Festival Plaza Drive, Suite 170, in Downtown Summerlin this February 2026. The 2,440-square-foot space will feature counter and table seating, a terrace with firepits, Kushiyaki, a full bar, and flat-screen TVs. Known for Hakata-style tonkotsu ramen, Marufuku also offers chicken paitan ramen, mini rice bowls, and izakaya-style appetizers.
Why It Matters: Summerlin residents will now have another spot to enjoy authentic Japanese ramen and a full dining experience close to home. Locals are excited to add this ramen hotspot to their regular dining rotation.
