Well, after much family discussion, and a financial commitment from my son (he had to pay for his own safety gear), Gabe started football this week.
HUGE shout-out to Nick Baumert over at Custom Customs Inc., who is a business owner, coach of young men, and all-around great member of our community here in Las Vegas.
I don’t know when this guy takes a day off (even though his co-coach is pictured above). Nick runs a metal fabrication company, coaches youth football here in town, and also runs a foundation that teaches kids (mine included) to weld on the weekends. I don’t know when this man takes a day off.

🎶 Moonshine Flats coming to Durango Casino
The Gist: Moonshine Flats is headed to Durango Casino & Resort as part of the property’s north expansion. The two-story, 29,000-square-foot venue will bring live touring acts, DJs, line dancing, multiple bars, and a large dance floor to the southwest Las Vegas resort. The Las Vegas location is a partnership with Good Time Design, known for entertainment venues in San Diego and Nashville.
Why It Matters: This adds a major live music and nightlife option to one of the fastest-growing areas of the valley. Feels like Durango is quickly becoming a go-to spot for nights out close to home.
