Six years after moving to Las Vegas, the only thing our family truly misses about California is our extended family. And as a guy, I know some of you might be extremely envious, but I genuinely have the worldās best mother-in-law.
Last week, we flew back to California for a celebration of life for a family member who nearly made it to 100 years old. It meant a lot for Gabe to be there for his grandpa. The photo below brought both tears of sadness and joy.
One of the best parts of choosing Vegas as our home base is that everyone, and I mean everyone, loves coming to visit. Weāve loved hosting family, friends, and coworkers when theyāre in town.

š Klint Kubiak Named New Raiders Head Coach
The Gist: The Las Vegas Raiders introduced Klint Kubiak as their new head coach on Feb. 10. Kubiak, fresh off a Super Bowl-winning season as Seahawks offensive coordinator, will lead the teamās rebuild, oversee the roster, and hire coordinators. Owner Mark Davis and GM John Spytek cited Kubiakās experience with quarterbacks, including Sam Darnold, as a key factor in the decision.
Why It Matters: Kubiakās leadership sets the tone for the Raidersā next era, including decisions on the No. 1 overall draft pick and retaining star pass rusher Maxx Crosby. Fans and the organization alike are looking to him to return the team to playoff contention.
šØ America 250 Signal Box Project
The Gist: Clark Countyās Office of Public Arts is transforming up to 20 utility boxes into historical landmarks in celebration of Americaās 250th anniversary. Residents can submit stories, events, and milestones that define the community for inclusion on the signal boxes, with installations set to appear across the county ahead of July 2026.
Why It Matters: The project makes local history accessible, encourages community participation, and enriches public spaces with art that celebrates Clark Countyās diverse stories.
